Memberships

You are always welcome to visit our libraries to study, relax or meet other people. If you want to borrow materials or use our WiFi, you can become a member. We have two memberships from which you can choose.

Free

No annual fee

Do you want to study and work in the library? Borrow a book now and then? As a resident of Rotterdam, you can become a member for free with our Free plan!

  • Borrow up to 6 items per year for 3 weeks without late fees*
  • Access to online resources such as Pressreader
  • Renewals and reservations not possible
  • 25% discount on all our activities and workshops

* with the exception of items from Muziekweb: you can borrow these without restriction, but not without late fees, for €1.95 per week

Plus & Youth

€4 per month | €48 per year | Free for youth up to 17 years old | €36* with Rotterdam Pass discount

Take advantage of everything we offer. Books, activities, workshops, and information.

  • Unlimited number of materials can be borrowed per year without late fees**.
  • Borrow and reserve 20 materials at a time.
  • 6-week loan period for sheet music.
  • Renew 6 times per material.
    If the material has not been reserved by another member, we will automatically renew it for you!
  • Borrow e-books, audiobooks and magazines
  • Borrow from other libraries in the Netherlands with Landelijk Lenen
  • Receive a second library card
  • Borrow films free of charge, with a three-week loan period
  • 25% discount on all our activities & workshops

*Rotterdam Pass discount can only be redeemed at the library
