'My Library' is a service offered by the Rotterdam Library.
It enables members to order items or to extend their loans. At the moment, ‘My Library’ is only available in Dutch.
Renewing from home
If you look up your loan specification in ‘My Library’, you can renew your loans by one push on the button. Renewing via ‘My Library’ is free, unless you wish to renew cd and DVD loans. In these cases you pay the normal weekly rate.
Ordering from home
You can also order items via ‘My Library’. Ordering from home is free of charge. You can collect your items in a ‘shopping cart’ and confirm your order with the button "Vraag aan". The Rotterdam Library will see to it that the items you ordered are sent to the library branch you have selected. Once the item has arrived, you will be notified by post to come and collect it.
Records
Via ‘My Library’ you can forward changes of your e-mail address to the library, or block your pass in case of loss or theft. You can also call up your personal financial overview, for instance to find out about surcharges that are still due.
Registering for 'My Library'
You can register for ‘My Library’ if you are a member of the Library Rotterdam. You need an internet PC and an e-mail address to do so. Click on ‘Register for My Library' in the right column to registrate. To register for My Library you will need the borrower’s number stated on the right side of your pass. On registering you will receive a user name and password for logging in. After this you can use the free digital services offered by the library.
